Prayers That Heal Your Identity

* Prepare to take notes so that you can learn how to pray seven
prayers that heal identity issues -- for yourself and with others.

When I read 2 Cor. 5:17, my SPIRIT believes it is literally true.
My original old man or old nature literally died when I received Christ. When I was baptized I believed that my old nature was dead and buried with Christ and my new nature was raised up to newness of life in Christ. I became a partaker of a new divine nature according to 2 Peter 1:4.

However, most identity issues start with hurt in our SOULS. If we begin to believe that our identity is defined by the opinions of others, we will soon believe the deceptions of the enemy and he wants to give us an identity based on lies. He will keep us from enjoying who we really are in Christ - a new creature, partaker of a divine nature, one with Christ, abiding in Him, filled with His Spirit, loved and accepted unconditionally.

Ask yourself. Has devil has tried to plant shame, self-doubt, worries or fears in you?

1. I still think about past failures or experiences of rejection.
2. There is guilt, shame, anger, or fear in my past that is still painful to me.
3. I seem to make the same mistake over and over again.
4. There are aspects of my character that I don't believe I can ever change.
5. I feel inferior, flawed, defective or disqualified in spite of what God says about me.
6. My bad choices have derailed me from God's plan A for my life.
7. I feel that certain experiences have basically ruined my potential in life.
8. I was born less than: in appearance, intellect, body, strengths, talents or gene pool.
9. I feel that I have lost the chance to experience a complete, wonderful abundant life.
10. I have to perform better in order to earn love and acceptance.

I believe Isaiah 61:1 is the heart of God and His plan for our freedom. The passion of Christ is to heal the brokenhearted (easy prey for strongholds.) He clearly came to set us free of every bondage, to cause our blind eyes to see, to heal every wound we have experienced, to take the pain for us and to leave us with wisdom and comfort for others.

Satan's master plan is separation: to cause us to be brokenhearted and become fleshly, separating us from others, separating us from God, and separating us from ourselves. He wants us to believe we are defective, inferior, a victim, less than, damaged, unloved, unlovable, not forgiven, hopeless, incomplete, shameful or that we need to find a source of identity outside of God.

Strongholds about our identity are erected by our wounded souls to protect us and to keep pain and rejection out. When we were brokenhearted, we went into self-protection mode, received shameful messages about who we were and justified fleshly behavior. Liberty Savard explained it in her book, Shattering Your Strongholds.

Hurt and trauma caused us to be brokenhearted.

We indulged in sinful thinking patterns.

We allowed sinful behavior.

We defended our right to sinful thinking and sinful behavior

What is the plan of the devil to destroy our identities? He began decades ago by sowing lies and deceptions, sinful reactions and sinful behaviors into our ancestors, setting up ungodly soul ties, ungodly beliefs, fleshly inner vows, dishonor of parents, issues with authorities and demonic bondages so that we would not believe Biblical Truth about ourselves. He works hard to set us up to choose his lies and deceptions vs. God's Truth.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Cor 10:3-5

We can choose to allow God to identify the strongholds about our identity that lodge in our imaginations, pretensions, arguments and intellect -- and cause us to believe we are helpless to come into agreement with God's will and way again.

The enemy not only wants to distort our identity, he wants to take over our whole household. He wants us to doubt God, ourselves and others so that our descendents are affected as well.

In the identity video series you will learn to pray seven prayers that will set you free to receive Biblical Truth. The passion of Christ is to set the captives free and to release us from our bondages. Isaiah 61:1

You will also learn how to ask forgiveness 5 ways in order to thoroughly dismantle identity strongholds. Usually, we feel like we have done well if we can forgive others and ask forgiveness for our own sins. However, if we don't know to ask forgiveness 5 ways, we can leave open doors to the enemy who will then continue to harass us about who we are.

Help us Lord Jesus, as we receive your truth about our identity in Christ from your Holy Word and receive your purposes and plans for our life in YOU. We choose to allow You to live through us with Godly responses to hurt, trauma and offense. Purify our hearts and minds, Lord, from every sinful pattern of sinful thinking and sinful behavior. As we attend this identity seminar, we choose to receive Your Truth about who are are in Christ - expressions of Jesus Christ, the fullness of the Godhead - full strength!
